Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Irrigator to join our agricultural operations team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring optimal crop health and resource efficiency by managing water distribution, monitoring equipment, and supporting our daily irrigation schedules. Key Responsibilities:
System Execution:
Complete irrigation assignments and schedules exactly as directed.
Monitoring & Maintenance:
Closely monitor water flow, pressure, and field coverage to ensure optimal system performance.
Field Operations:
Assist with irrigation set changes, water applications, and monitor overall field conditions.
Crop Nutrition Support:
Assist with chemigation and fertilizer injection activities.
Troubleshooting:
Actively identify and promptly report leaks, equipment breakdowns, or any irrigation performance issues.
Workspace Care:
Maintain clean, safe, and organized irrigation work areas to support overall operational efficiency.
Communication:
As the 2nd shift you will need to communicate with 1st first frequently.
Performance Expectations & Evaluation:
Efficiency & Precision:
Timely completion of assignments, proper water application, and a strong focus on minimizing missed sets or irrigation delays.
Proactive Communication:
Early identification and swift communication of any technical or structural irrigation issues.
Safety & Compliance:
Proper handling and precise execution of chemigation and fertilizer injection activities.
Operational Reliability:
Ability to strictly follow irrigation schedules, take operational direction, and show accountability in daily tasks.
Professionalism:
Maintaining a high standard of ownership and pride in your work quality, alongside keeping work areas clean and organized. Job Requirements (Education & Experience):
Technical Background:
Required electrical and/or technical experience to assist with system troubleshooting and equipment monitoring.
Agricultural Experience:
Previous experience working in farming and agricultural environments is strongly preferred.
Irrigation Familiarity:
Prior experience operating or maintaining irrigation systems is highly desirable.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical certifications in electrical or agricultural mechanics are a plus.
Bilingual:
Speaking Both English and Spanish is highly preferred.
Provided Equipment, Training & Resources Company-Provided Training:
Comprehensive training on our specific irrigation systems, operational procedures, and safety protocols.
Company Truck:
Provided for on-site duties (to be left at the workplace at the end of each shift).
Cell Phone:
Provided strictly for company and operational use. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): All necessary safety gear and PPE are supplied by the company.
Work Schedule & Training Period:
Initial Schedule (Training): 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, working alongside our experienced 1st shift irrigators to get hands-on system training. Regular Schedule (Post-Training): 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM (Midnight), Monday through Friday.
Weekend Availability:
Occasional weekend shifts may be required depending on operational needs and weather conditions. Cerbat Mountain Farm, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
