Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Quality CMM Technician! The CMM Tech is responsible for inspecting and measuring precision components using Coordinate Measuring Machines to ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and proficiency with CMM software. The CMM Tech has the responsibility to report quality issues to the manager and follow up to ensure corrective action is taken to resolve the issue. Additionally, results and test records must be accurately documented and maintained. Manage and coordinate the calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
Responsibilities :
Operate CMM equipment to perform precise dimensional inspections on welded and assembled parts Interpret engineering drawings and / or specifications and the applicable Control Plan to determine inspection requirements Create, modify, and run inspection programs using CMM software Document and report inspection results accurately in accordance with internal and customer requirements Identify non-conforming parts and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action analysis Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment according to internal standards and industry standards Work closely with the Quality and Production departments to resolve dimensional issues Maintain a clean and safe work environment Support new project launch with CMM, as neededTraining :
High school diploma or GED Technical certification or associate degree preferred 2+ years' experience working with CMM requiredWork Experience:
2+ years working with CMM and CMM software required Basic computer skills Strong analytical ability and problem solving aptitude Attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentSpecial Knowledge:
Experience with measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, etc. Programming of CMM experience preferred Knowledge of Calibration of test equipment preferredJob Type:
