GENERAL SUMMARY

The Delivery Driver's responsibility is to help load products and make sure they arrive at their destination on time and in good condition.

BENEFITS

Team Members who work an average of 30 - 36 hours per week and have successfully completed six months of employment with the company will receive 20 hours of vacation per calendar year. Team Members who work an average of 30 hours per week or more also may receive two paid holidays (dependent on if the holiday falls on a Sunday) throughout the calendar year.

PAY RANGE

$12.00 - $17.00 Starting pay is based upon experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. General Packing, loading and unloading delivery vans and/or box trucks. Delivering parcels and goods to customers and/or stores on designated routes. Maintaining regular communication and updates with the Inventory Assistant, Store Leads and direct report. Review deliveries with recipients to ensure they're accurate. Obtaining delivery confirmations from customers and/or receiving store. Cleaning van and/or box truck for the next delivery. Immediately inform the direct report of any issues that may arise with the vehicle. Attend all mandatory scheduled meetings. Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment. Create an efficient delivery route and organize products in accordance with the delivery schedule. Paying attention to details. Possess a can-do attitude. Interaction with fellow Team Members and Customers Provide a positive representation of Summit Ace Hardware. Thank customers at the completion of the delivery. Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor, work well with customers and Team Members. Forward any customer complaints to the person who assigned the delivery. Ensure all job-related calls, WhatsApp messages, texts, and emails are answered promptly and courteously.

REQUIREMENTS A

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand; sit; walk; and reach with hands and arms for the duration of their shift. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
