Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Tooling Engineer / Assistant to Shift Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. This role is pivotal in supporting the tooling department, ensuring efficient operation of stamping tools, and assisting the shift supervisor in maintaining production flow. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical background, expertise in tooling and automation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment that values safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities Assist the shift supervisor in coordinating daily tooling activities, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of stamping tools and industrial equipment. Conduct root cause analysis on tooling issues to identify underlying problems and implement corrective actions. Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and enhancing productivity across the manufacturing facility. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all tooling operations and participate in safety audits and training sessions. Experience Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility, preferably in metal stamping or related industries involving industrial equipment. Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with hands-on experience in tooling design, fabrication, or maintenance. Background in process engineering or industrial engineering with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies like lean manufacturing is preferred. Factory experience involving assembly lines, fabrication processes, or automation equipment will be advantageous. Mechanical aptitude combined with strong problem-solving skills for root cause analysis of tooling issues. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
