Second-shift CNC milling machinist role focused on machine setup, operation, offset adjustments, first-piece verification, and fabrication of metallic and nonmetallic parts. Job Requirements Second-shift availability required CNC milling setup experience required High school diploma or GED required Ability to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines Ability to operate machining centers for metallic and nonmetallic parts Ability to load raw material and unload machined parts Ability to adjust tool offsets, fixture offsets, cutter compensation, and other machine offsets Ability to retrieve, verify, and download CNC programs Ability to follow setup instructions, tool sheets, and job documentation Ability to document machining results and obtain first-piece approval Preferred Skills Lathe or turning machine experience Multitasking machine setup experience Vocational technical high school background Community college advanced manufacturing certificate Experience with non-complex machining setup operations Experience deburring parts for inspection and safety Experience performing daily machine maintenance checks Job Responsibilities Set up CNC milling machines and machining centers Operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines Fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts according to job requirements Load starting material into machines Unload machined parts from machines Deburr parts as needed for inspection and safety Perform daily housekeeping around machines Perform daily maintenance checks Install and align holding fixtures and accessories according to setup instructions Align and secure cutting tools into tool holders Install tool assemblies on machines according to tool sheets Retrieve CNC programs and verify correct revision levels Download CNC programs to machines Start and observe machine operation Detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining conditions Adjust setups as needed to produce parts within specification Document machining results Obtain first-piece stamp or approval for operations

Pay:
