Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Setup Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up CNC machines to produce precision metal components efficiently and accurately. Your expertise in machine setup, programming, and measurement will ensure that production runs smoothly while maintaining the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment and contribute to the creation of complex parts used across various industries. Responsibilities Set up CNC machining equipment, including lathes and milling machines, ensuring all tooling, fixtures, and workpieces are correctly installed and aligned. Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM programming software to produce specified parts according to blueprints and technical drawings. Interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing specifications to determine machining requirements. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions and quality. Perform machine calibration, adjustments, and troubleshooting to optimize machining processes and ensure consistent output. Conduct quality inspections during and after machining operations to verify adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Maintain detailed setup documentation, logs, and reports for each job run while adhering to safety protocols and best practices. Experience Proven experience working as a CNC Setup Machinist or in a similar manufacturing environment with a focus on metal machining. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is preferred. Skilled in reading mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications accurately. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or CAD tools for interpreting design files. Hands-on experience with machining tools including grinders, hand tools, power tools, and tooling setups. Ability to operate manual machining equipment such as lathes and grinders when necessary. Mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurement and calculations in machining operations. Understanding of CNC quality inspection techniques using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and bore gauges. Pay:
