At Impact Preparatory Christian Academy, we are looking for a nurturing, energetic, and faith-driven Preschool Lead Teacher to join our growing team. Position Summary The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports the growth of the whole child. This role includes leading classroom instruction, guiding assistant teachers, implementing curriculum, and fostering positive communication with families. The ideal candidate is organized, enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about helping children learn through hands-on experiences, creativity, and Christ-centered values.
What You'll Do:
Classroom Leadership & Instruction Create and implement engaging lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with early learning standards and developmentally appropriate practices. Foster a classroom culture where children feel safe, loved, encouraged, and excited to learn. Lead and support assistant teachers through modeling, coaching, and teamwork. Plan meaningful individual and group activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development. Family Communication Build positive partnerships with families through daily communication, progress updates, and parent-teacher conferences. Address parent questions and concerns professionally and compassionately. Health, Safety & Compliance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Ensure compliance with all center policies, licensing regulations, and health standards. Supervise classroom staff and volunteers to ensure proper safety and hygiene practices are followed. Complete CACFP meal count documentation and maintain accurate classroom records. Professional Growth Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and training. Stay current on best practices in early childhood education. What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who is: Passionate about working with young children Positive, dependable, and team-oriented A strong communicator with leadership skills Patient, creative, and energetic Committed to maintaining a Christ-centered learning environment Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in early childhood education Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Minimum of 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Basic computer and technology skills CPR/First Aid Certification preferred Must pass background screening and health requirements Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Ability to bend, kneel, squat, walk frequently, and actively engage with children throughout the day Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors while maintaining awareness and safety Why Join Impact Preparatory Christian Academy?
