Position Summary The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate instruction that supports student growth and prepares children for future academic success. The teacher will create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment while fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning through hands-on and engaging instruction. The ideal candidate is organized, patient, energetic, and passionate about early childhood and elementary education within a Christ-centered environment.

What You'll Do:
Classroom Instruction & Student Learning Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with kindergarten learning standards and school curriculum. Teach foundational skills in reading, phonics, writing, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning. Create hands-on learning experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and critical thinking. Differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of each student. Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes confidence, independence, respect, and kindness. Classroom Management & Student Support Establish and maintain classroom routines, expectations, and positive behavior management strategies. Monitor student progress and provide ongoing support and encouragement. Encourage students' spiritual, emotional, social, and academic growth through daily interactions and classroom experiences. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Family Communication Build strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication, progress updates, and parent-teacher conferences. Address parent concerns professionally and collaboratively. Partner with families to support student success both inside and outside the classroom. Professional Responsibilities Maintain accurate student records, assessments, and documentation. Participate in staff meetings, school events, training, and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to support school goals and student achievement. Ensure compliance with school policies and state educational requirements. What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who is: Passionate about educating and inspiring young children Patient, creative, and nurturing Organized and dependable A strong communicator and team player Committed to maintaining a Christ-centered classroom environment Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field preferred Previous teaching experience in kindergarten or early elementary education preferred Strong classroom management and instructional skills Knowledge of child development and early learning practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic computer and technology skills CPR/First Aid Certification preferred Must pass background screening and health requirements Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and actively engage with children throughout the day Ability to supervise children indoors and outdoors while maintaining a safe learning environment Why Join Impact Preparatory Christian Academy?
