The Lead Teacher is responsible for following Our Hope's curriculum, creating and implementing a lesson plan, managing the day-to-day operation of the classroom, and working in harmony with the teaching staff. The Lead Teacher must be able to recognize and nurture the children's development socially, physically, cognitively, and emotionally. Lead Teachers should strive to create a fun and safe learning environment that fosters the children's development each day. Lead Teachers should exceed in their interpersonal skills involving communicating with coworkers, children, and parents.

Full Time/Part Time Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:30-3:30 or 7:30-2:00 Responsibilities

• Follow Our Hope's curriculum and create weekly lesson plans that are engaging for the children
• Create age-appropriate activities that foster the children's development
• Maintain frequent communication with the parents through our parent portal, weekly newsletters, progress reports, and parent teacher conferences
• Enforce and follow all company policies and procedures
• Maintain cleanliness inside the classroom as well as the building
• Supervise assistant teachers as well has hallway aides that enter the classroom and ensure they follow company policies and procedures
• Follow a personal professional development plan
• Attend all mandatory staff meetings
• Create a Christlike atmosphere for children and the staff Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of childcare experience
• Strong understanding of child development
• Must be able to pass a background check and be fingerprinted
• Able to remain on feet for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 50lbs on occasion
• Must have a basic knowledge of word or similar platform for weekly newsletters
• CPR Certification
• Child Development Associates Certificate (Preferred)
• GED or equivalent
