• Full-time Job description Del West is a high precision manufacturer of Auto Racing Engine Components (Nascar, F1, MotoGP) located in Valencia, CA.

We are seeking a Grinder/Receiving Inspector to join our team in our Springfield, OH facility and ensure our products meet the highest standards of precision and performance. Responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Sets up and operates one or more Creep Feed & ID grinding machines to grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal workpieces to blueprint specifications, following tooling instructions and standard charts and applying knowledge of grinding procedures. Dresses wheels to specifications, using a dressing device. Starts machine and observes operation. Verifies dimensions of ground workpiece for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and preset gauges. Changes worn grinding wheels. May have to troubleshoot and adjust as required. High attention to detail to ensure precision in all grinding operations. Ability to work with little to no supervision, maintaining quality and efficiency. CNC/Robotic skills to assist in machine setup, programming, and automation processes. In-coming Receiving Inspection to ensure quality control of received materials. Quality Control for visual & dimensional measurement of machined and assembled parts. Verification of equipment, documentation, and certifications to meet compliance requirements. Maintain calibration of measurement tools and inspection equipment. Assist the Plant Manager with Inventory Control and Shipping/Receiving activities. Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

Must have knowledge of G Codes, M Codes, and Constant Surface Speed. Must have knowledge of SPC, Charting, and Control Limits. Minimum 3 years grinding experience. Good communication skills and teamwork ability. Must be proficient with computers

• Training will be done in 1st shift 7:00am to 3:00pm
