NYS Permanent or Professional Certification in Special Education OR NYS Students with Disabilities Certification The Saratoga Springs City School District is seeking four (4) qualified Special Education Teachers to support students with disabilities enrolled in non-public schools within our school district boundaries.

The schools include:

(1) St.

Clements Regional Catholic school

• K-5 (1) Saratoga Independent School
• K-8 (1) Waldorf School of Saratoga
• K-8 (1) Saratoga Central Catholic
• Grades 6-12 The teachers will be expected to provide: Research-based specialized instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals Develop, implement, and monitor annual IEPs Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and methods to meet diverse learning needs Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches as needed Establish a structured, predictable classroom environments that supports students with educational disabilities Implement consistent classroom systems, and routines within the school environment Foster a positive learning environment emphasizing respect, responsibility, and student engagement Collaborate with related service providers, general education staff, and families Participate in CSE meetings and contribute to IEP development and progress monitoring Consult with colleagues to ensure alignment of supports and services across settings Key Qualities of the Candidate Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to apply critical thinking to adapt instruction and supports Demonstrates patience, flexibility, and a student-centered mindset Builds positive and collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth and willingness to implement innovative and responsive instructional practices
