Job Description

This position is open to internal Full Time Faculty only
Stipends:
Winter $540.00 Fall/Spring $500 for each semester Summer $2,160 The Academic & Curriculum Coordinator provides leadership in the design, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of the nursing curriculum. This role ensures alignment with program outcomes, accreditation standards, and best practices in nursing education. The coordinator supports faculty in delivering high-quality, consistent instruction across all courses and campuses. Lead curriculum development, revision, and evaluation in alignment with program outcomes and accreditation standards (e.g., Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing). Oversee implementation of the Systematic Plan of Evaluation (SPE),including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Monitor program outcomes (e.g., NCLEX pass rates, completion rates, course success metrics) and develop action plans for improvement. Coordinate didactic, lab, and simulation course scheduling in collaboration with program leadership. Ensure consistency of course delivery across faculty, sections, and campuses. Review and approve course syllabi, instructional materials, and assessment strategies. Support and mentor adjunct faculty in teaching effectiveness and evaluation methods. Oversee testing processes, including standardized testing platforms ( e.g., ATI) and remediation strategies. Facilitate curriculum committee meetings and maintain documentation of decisions and changes. Contribute to accreditation processes, including self-study preparation and site visit readiness. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Nursing Education. Minimum Qualifications Open to full-time faculty members only Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher. Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey. Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a nursing program. Demonstrated experience with curriculum development and evaluation. Knowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing). Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field. Experience with accreditation self-study and site visits. Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard Ultra) and standardized testing platforms (e.g., ATI). Experience mentoring faculty and leading committees. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to interpret and apply data to improve program outcomes. Effective communication and leadership abilities. Ability to collaborate across campuses and disciplines. Commitment to student success and academic excellence. This position may require flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location
