The Educational Instructor teaches and assists individuals with developmental disabilities in their pursuit of higher education, under the direction of the Academic Director.

Duties:

Assist with developing and implementing appropriate lessons, student worksheets, and other evidence-based activities Provide organizational support, academic assistance, and tutoring to students Collaborate with college staff, professors, Student Services Departments, and other college programs Provide individualized support and guidance based on each student's learning needs Monitor student behavior and support disciplinary expectations outlined in company policies and the college Student Handbook Provide transportation in a company vehicle to support community integration and travel to/from the program site

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Education or Special Education preferred Ability to pass a background check Strong adaptability, organization, and time management skills Excellent computer, record-keeping, interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills (written and verbal) Patience and compassion when working with individuals with developmental disabilities and diverse backgrounds Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures Physical fitness sufficient to meet job demands (walking, standing, lifting, etc.) Availability Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM - 5:00
