College Station, TEXAS Biology Location College Station, Texas Open Date 4/2/2026 Position ID 179947 Description The Department of Biology in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, academic professional track (non-tenure) position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning August 1, 2026. Applicants will be considered for the title of Instructional Assistant Professor. This position is teaching-intensive (70%) and includes expectations for service (30%). It is a renewable position with opportunities to advance along the instructional track, progressing from Instructional Assistant Professor to Instructional Associate Professor to Instructional Professor. The purpose of this position is to provide high-quality biology instruction to undergraduates. In particular, the department has needs in its bioinformatics courses. To support the Department of Biology's undergraduate teaching mission, preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching biology at the undergraduate level. Experience teaching lower and upper-level courses using student-centered approaches that promote student success is desirable.
