Position Overview We are seeking an Access Control Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot gate automation and access control systems. This role involves both field installation and ongoing service work for commercial and high-end residential clients. This is a hands-on role with strong growth potential as we expand our access control division.

Key Responsibilities Install and configure:

Automated gate operators (slide and swing gates) Access control systems (keypads, card readers, intercoms) Vehicle detection systems (loops, sensors) Run low-voltage wiring and conduit Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues Program and test system functionality Coordinate with project managers and installation crews Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards Provide excellent customer communication on-site Qualifications Experience with gate operators, access control, or low-voltage systems preferred Electrical or mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and installation manuals Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions Strong work ethic and attention to detail Preferred (Not Required) Experience with brands like LiftMaster, DoorKing, FAAC, or HySecurity Low-voltage or electrical certifications Experience with commercial gate systems Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Overtime opportunities Paid time off and holidays Career advancement opportunities as we grow Why Join Piedmont Fence?
