  • UI Heart and Vascular Center Details The Access Team Temp.
Employee will provide efficient, effective and highly-collaborative clinical operational support through the delivery of health care services in the UI Heart and Vascular Center (HVC) for a 6 month duration.
HVC cardiovascular specialty services include:
Cardiology, Cath/EP, Non-Invasive Imaging, Cardiac Rehab, Heart Failure, Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension, VAD, Vascular Surgery, and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Hourly Rate:
$25.40
Minimum Hours:
24/week Position Responsibilities Perform related clerical tasks including answering phones, triage calls and provide information to other departments. Manage internal and external medical records to ensure that accurate and complete data is available for patient appointments. Process and manage incoming referrals, medical records, related documentation, and external imaging. Manage recurring lab list (reminding patients of upcoming labs & obtaining results from external labs). Enter external lab results and notify nursing staff of critical values. Partner with nursing staff to ensure timely follow-up including calls to patients (post procedure, normal test results, fasting, appointment reminders, etc.) communicated via OneNote. Anticipate medical record needs by proactively working up future clinic appointments to ensure all necessary records have been received. Preparation of patient education materials and packets. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience Requirement 1-year operations experience is required. (i.e. customer service, scheduling, processing, management, etc.) Effective and positive communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate effectively with internal and external customers as well as colleagues at all institutional levels.
