Job Description
Join a dynamic healthcare finance team as an Account Manager overseeing patient accounts and revenue cycle operations. This role involves leading a dedicated team of analysts and business office staff, managing schedules, setting priorities, and ensuring high-quality, accurate work. You will monitor productivity, collaborate across departments, and contribute to policy development to optimize revenue processes. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support the Patient Accounts team, including timekeeping and performance management. Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports. Manage insurance claims processing, denials follow-up, and reimbursement actions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer contracts, eligibility, and remittance advice. Resolve account discrepancies such as credit balances and insurance over/under payments. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain professional communication with patients, providers, and external agencies. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology required.
Preferred:
Six years of healthcare industry experience in finance, IT, revenue cycle, billing, or coding. Skills and Qualifications Strong leadership and project management capabilities. Proficiency in Excel, Business Intelligence tools, EHR/EMR systems, and report writing. Knowledge of insurance terminology, claims processing, and payer-specific regulations. Experience with government payer billing, appeals, and preauthorization processes. Familiarity with Medicare policies, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 CM, DRG, and modifiers. Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex billing issues. Physical Requirements Light physical work with occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and standing or walking 11-25% of the day.
