Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to lead our financial department and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our accounting processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a broad spectrum of accounting functions, including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. Sage 50+ software experience is preferred. Duties
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Responsible for all aspects of accounting for the Resort.
RESPONSIBITIES
1. Monthly Financial Statements which consist of:
  • Reconcile Bank Statements
  • Preparing & Posting Journal Entries
  • Balance Sheet
  • Income Statement
  • Preparing Monthly Financial Status Update for Resort Manager & Finance Chairman
  • Preparing Quarterly Financial Status Update for the Finance Committee 2.
Cash Control which consist of:
  • Preparing & Making all Deposits
  • Posting Deposits to Proper Accounts
  • Maintaining records of CD's
  • Preparing Corporate Resolutions & Signature Cards 3.
Accounts Receivable which consists of:
  • Assessing Current Fees, Late Fees & Interest
  • Annual & Past Due Maintenance Fee Billing
  • Posting & Depositing all Payments
  • Scheduling & Working with Owners on Payment Plan
  • Preparing Past Due Accounts for a Collection Agency 4.
Payroll which consists of:
  • Preparing & Paying Weekly Payroll
  • Preparing & Paying Weekly Federal 941
  • Preparing & Paying Monthly Georgia Department of Revenue GA-V
  • Preparing & Paying Quarterly Georgia Departmentof Labor
  • Preparing & Paying Quarterly Federal 940
  • Preparing & Paying Quarterly Federal 941
  • Preparing W-2's
  • Preparing & Submitting W-3
  • Preparing Annual Workman's Compensation Audit Report 5.
Accounts Payable which consists of:
  • Paying Invoices
  • Preparing 1099's
  • Preparing & Submitting 1096 6.
Rental Program which consists of:
  • Depositing all Rental Proceeds
  • Calculating and disbursing Rental Proceeds Properly
  • Preparing all State, County & City Hotel-Motel Tax Reports with Payments
  • Providing Monthly Rental Reports 7.
Legal which consists of:
  • Preparing Yearly Property Liens
  • Satisfying Property Liens
  • Preparing & Processing Demand Letters
  • Preparing & Processing Owners for Foreclosure
  • Preparing and executing Quit Claim Deeds 8. Sage 50+ (Quantum) Owner Data Base which consists of:
  • Maintaining Computer Information
  • Update Owner Information
  • Update Change of Ownerships 9.
Excel Spreadsheets which consists of:
  • Annual Schedules
  • Annual "Depreciation Schedule"
  • Developing & Maintaining Accounting Spreadsheets 10.
Prepare for Annual Audit 11. Assisting in preparing Annual Proposed Budget

Resort Manager 2.
Works With:
Resort Manager, Finance Committee, Department Supervisors, Owners, Attorney, CPA, Banks, Auditors & Collection Agency Pay:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
