Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to provide onsite financial support for a manufacturing facility in California. This is a contract position expected to run approximately 2 to 3 months, with a schedule that may be part-time or permanent based on business needs. The person in this role will handle daily accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, maintain accurate records, and work independently while coordinating with the broader accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks for the California facility.
• Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
• Process customer invoices and verify billing details before distribution.
• Record and apply incoming cash payments to the appropriate accounts.
• Support outgoing payment activities and help maintain organized transaction records.
• Review account activity to identify billing discrepancies, short payments, or overpayments and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with accounting-related work connected to ongoing plant transition activities.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve payment and invoice questions while working with minimal supervision.
