POSITION SUMMARY
Performs a range of general clerical, accounting and administrative support functions in the Accounting Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
General accounts receivable functions
  • Prepare and submit customer invoices
  • Prepare and coordinate deposits
  • Code, post and receipt payments
  • Perform document imaging of Accounts Receivable documents 2. General accounts payable functions
  • Check, verify and process invoices
  • Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
  • Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Sort and mail check payments to vendors
  • Perform document imaging of Accounts Payable documents 3. General support functions
  • Maintain accounting files and financial records
  • Assist in month end reporting procedures
  • Assist with employee expense reports
  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks
  • Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in business or accounting an advantage 2 years experience in General Accounting 1 year experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable MS Office and knowledge of accounting software
