• May 11, 2026 Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial and production-related accounting activities in Cold Spring, Minnesota.

This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with high-volume transactional data in a fast-paced environment. The role will focus on maintaining accurate inventory and production records, validating financial information, and partnering with internal teams to keep reporting timely and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile production activity between shop floor records and SAP to ensure daily data accuracy
• Review and balance raw material and finished goods inventory counts each day, resolving discrepancies promptly
• Update inventory storage locations for raw materials and completed products within the system as needed
• Investigate and correct production-related exceptions, then complete daily production close processes
• Validate sales activity and internal product movements to confirm accurate accounting treatment
• Support the production accounting function by preparing and organizing weekly operational and financial data
• Enter daily production volume information, including kill data, and confirm totals before posting
• Compare information across two systems and resolve variances before finalizing entries
• Collaborate with the Live Accounting team to reconcile headcount by farm and maintain accurate supporting records
• Cross-train with other departmental staff to provide coverage and maintain continuity of accounting operations. Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
• At least 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical finance experience
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and data entry
• Familiarity with SAP or a similar ERP platform, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to review accounting documents carefully and verify calculations for completeness and accuracy
• Understanding of standard accounting practices, including GAAP principles and basic auditing concepts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare routine reports and analyses
• Comfortable using standard office technology and managing multiple tasks in a structured environment.
