Job Description

Job Summary :
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual that will support the finance department by processing routine financial transactions, such as accounts payable/receivable, data entry, payroll, and customer invoicing. This role, typically requiring 30 hours per week, ensures accuracy in financial records and aids with general office administration. Key skills include proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage 100 is a plus). The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and able to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This part-time position also offers the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities Data entry:
Accurately enter vendor invoices, customer payments, and daily transactions into accounting software.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Process invoices, verify approvals, prepare checks, and assist with vendor inquiries.
Record Maintenance:
Maintain organized financial files, documentation, and digital records.
Payroll Support:
Assist with entering payroll data, time sheet verification, and special projects.
Administrative Duties:
Perform general office tasks such as scanning, filing, mailing, and ordering supplies.
Required Skills & Qualifications Education:
High School diploma required; Associate degree in accounting or related field a plus.
Experience:
1-5+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or clerical accounting.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus).
Attributes:
Strong attention to detail, high organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
