Located in the beautiful Black Hills region of South Dakota, Mount Rushmore National Memorial is open year-round and operates retail shops and a variety dining outlets serving convenient grab-and-go meals and coffee. Assists with department safe and house bank counts. Prepare daily cash and check deposits. Verify their accuracy. Answer the phone, process change requests, and cash employee paychecks. Assists with collection, daily count, and deposit of all vending and pay-on-foot terminal funds. Assists with random audits of all cashier banks. Ensures that all departments follow accounting policy and procedures. Responsible for confidentiality and adherence to all accounting security and procedural policies. Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous clerical experience, including typing, accurate data entry, and filing. Previous cash handling experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Ability to learn quickly the technical aspects of the accounting office. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while on duty and in dealing with both employees and guests. Willing to "pitch-in" and help the team with tasks. Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work.Physical Requirements include:
Constantly sitting, handling, lift/carry 10 pounds or less, and push/pull 12 pounds or less. Frequently walk, reaching outward, lifting/carrying 11-50 pounds, and pushing/pulling 13-40 pounds. Occasionally stand, reach above shoulder, climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying 51-100 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 41-100 pounds.
