Accounting Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our leadership team. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of clients, manage tax compliance and planning strategies, and mentor junior staff. The ideal candidate has a strong background in public accounting and is comfortable navigating complex state and federal tax regulations. Responsibilities Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee payroll compliance Ensure accurate cash-basis and accrual-basis reporting for various commercial entities. Lead the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, regulatory standards, and internal policies. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations to maintain precise financial records. Provide mentorship and training to accounting staff on technical accounting issues. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial report writing for strategic planning purposes. Ensure compliance with tax regulations by managing tax experience related to corporate finance and non-profit accounting when applicable. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or other financial management tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting Extensive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting Strong knowledge of GAAP, technical accounting standards, and regulatory reporting requirements. Familiarity with financial analysis, financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, and audit procedures. Experience working with various accounting software platforms including QuickBooks, Sage and Xero. Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, accrual accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis and general ledger management. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor team members effectively while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of financial acumen; ability to interpret complex financial data confidently. Pay:

$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
