Job Description:

Long Island CPA firm is seeking an Accounting Manager due to recent growth! In this role, you will be responsible for providing accounting and tax services to a variety of small businesses and individuals throughout the NY Metro area. Note - this is an in-office position requiring 5 days of on-site presence in Hauppauge, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

Process daily transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank accounts Prepare and review both individual and business tax returns including 1040, 1065 and 1120 Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients Collaborate with other members of the finance team to resolve any issues and ensure the integrity of financial information Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement any necessary changes

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience Strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to clients Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting software, QuickBooks a plus
