Overview Kemin is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you'll play an important part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financials—preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements in line with GAAP. Service Opportunities :
Make a positive impact with paid time off for volunteering in your community Responsibilities Supervise and prepare monthly financial packages timely and accurately. Monthly prepare accurate financial projections with emphasis is on income and cashflow. Perform proactive analysis on regional and consolidated financials and recommend changes.based on analysis completed. Coordinate the development and management of regional and consolidated annual budgets. Manage audit activities; prepare work papers for external and internal audits. Supervise tracking and reporting of fixed assets, sales reporting and rebate programs. Supervise and manage accounts receivable and credit. Coordinate day-to-day general accounting and administrative responsibilities. Coordinate development of reports in Planful. Provide back up and assistance to other accounting staff. Ensure compliance with the Worldwide Accounting Manual. Special projects as determined. Provide in-depth analysis of business transactions, this includes but is not limited to; customer accounts, manufacturing costs, and sales scorecard. Ability to provide accurate data consistently. Ability to perform/simulate scenario analysis and propose options/solutions to business stakeholders.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Masters Degree with 7-10 years of related experience OR Bachelors Degree with 10-12 years of related experience CPA preferred, but not required. Experience with consolidation of multiple divisions or businesses preferred. Planful reporting experience preferred. Excellent computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office products, and the ability to use the computer to prepare and retrieve reports and data. Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to see and read numbers Must be able to quickly and accurately analyze an account or situation to ensure thesafeguard of Kemin's assets and returns to Kemin's shareholders. Must be able to recognize potential issues and proactively provide proposed solutions to the Finance Director. Experience with International Business, is a plus. We are an equal opportunity employer.
