Job Description:
Accounting Manager - Morristown, NJ (Onsite, M-F 8:00-4:00) The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and internal and external financial reporting. The role also includes responsibility for capital program oversight, including tenant capital assessments and grant administration for eligible projects. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing monthly financial statements for shareholders, maintaining general ledger accounts, supervising accounting staff, and supporting month-end close processes. The position coordinates annual financial reviews and tax filings with external auditors, assists with budgeting and forecasting, and monitors financial performance to identify and implement corrective actions as needed. This role is also responsible for developing financial controls and performance measures aligned with organizational strategy, managing implementation and onboarding of the capital program and ERP dashboards in Microsoft Business Central, and serving as a liaison with project managers and consultants. Additional responsibilities include oversight of capital project accounting, coordination with engineers and contractors, cost monitoring, and management of federal and state grant-related accounting. The Accounting Manager supervises direct reports, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintains compliance with applicable accounting standards. Ongoing professional development and additional assigned duties are also required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA required. Minimum of 5 years of public and/or private accounting experience required. Real estate accounting and supervisory experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical exam. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, use computer systems for data entry and reporting, maintain a valid driver's license with clean driving record, and operate a company vehicle. Confidentiality agreement required upon hire.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (Onsite, non-negotiable)
