Accounting Manager

The role:

The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP. This person will manage and mentor a team while partnering closely with leadership to support business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing monthly and annual financial statement preparation Managing general ledger activity, journal entries, and reconciliations Supporting multi-entity accounting and consolidations Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies Partnering with external auditors Driving process improvements and supporting system upgrades Mentoring and developing accounting staff

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting 7+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of GAAP Experience with accounting systems and process improvement initiatives Proven analytical, organizational, and communication skills Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
