Job Description

Accounting Specialist - Job Description Overview The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, including maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy for financial reporting. This role supports the accounting team and helps ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Reconcile credit card statements and general ledger accounts Prepare and post journal entries Assist with month-end and year-end close Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Support audits by providing requested documentation Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial data Assist with daily mail and scan checks Manage the COI process and expirations Maintain motor vehicle registration log and updates Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP preferred) Experience with accounting software (Sage Intacct, 3rd party AP modules, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Key Skills Analytical thinking Time management Accuracy and attention to detail and follow-up Communication skills Problem-solving ability To learn more about MVI, please visit our website at www.mvifieldservices.com This description does not list all the duties of the position. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
