Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support financial operations for a construction-focused organization in Firestone, Colorado. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who brings strong experience across payables, receivables, billing, and account balancing while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. The role will contribute to day-to-day accounting activities, reporting, and document management tied to project-related financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor payments, review invoice details for accuracy, and assign correct coding before entry into the accounting system.
• Manage customer invoicing, monitor outstanding balances, and record incoming payments to keep receivables current.
• Reconcile account activity regularly by researching discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare financial and operational reports that support budget tracking and routine accounting review.
• Enter and maintain accounting data with a high degree of accuracy across billing and payment records.
• Support permit-related documentation and financial coordination connected to construction projects.
• Assist with accounting tasks related to construction-to-permanent loan activity and associated project records.
• Use JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to update transactions, maintain records, and support ongoing accounting functions.
