Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support the financial activities of a multi-entity organization. This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership role in a collaborative, family-style, team-oriented office environment. The role is responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, supervising accounting staff, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Supervisor will also oversee bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP, support cash management activities, and work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Accounting and Financial Reporting Maintain accurate financial records and financial statements across multiple entities using QuickBooks Lead monthly and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies Prepare and review internal financial reports for management decision-making Support cash management activities, including processing wires and ACH payments under direction of management Partner with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data collection and reporting Payroll and Benefits Administration Oversee end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations Maintain strict confidentiality related to compensation and employee data Assist with administration of employee benefits, including health insurance deductions Coordinate insurance updates, renewals, and related policy requirements Accounting Operations and Team Leadership Supervise, train, and support accounting staff Serve as a liaison between accounting and other departments Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers and support audit activities as needed Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements Manage multiple priorities and deadlines across various entities in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or small business environment Prior supervisory or management experience required Strong understanding of GAAP Proficiency in QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now required Advanced Excel skills preferred
