Job Description
This Accounting Supervisor FLC Position Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the direct supervisor for FLC accounting staff, providing daily direction, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee all Farm Labor Contractor accounting activities, including invoice review, verification, coding, and timely processing
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws related to Farm Labor Contractors
- Review and reconcile FLC invoices to supporting documentation (payroll records, compliance documents, contracts, etc.)
- Act as a point of escalation for accounting discrepancies, contractor issues, and internal questions
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. FLC Accounting & Compliance Manager on workflow improvements, audits, and compliance initiatives
- Lead by example—setting expectations, holding the team accountable, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members
- Support internal and external audits related to FLC compliance and accounting
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance Leadership Expectations
- Demonstrates confidence in decision making and problem solving
- Comfortable taking ownership and leading a team without hesitation
- Communicates clearly and professionally across departments and with contractors
- Builds trust and respect while maintaining accountability
- Able to step in, take charge, and keep operations moving smoothly Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounting supervision or lead roles, preferably within agriculture or labor intensive industries
- Strong understanding of Farm Labor Contractor operations, payroll, and compliance standards (preferred)
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
