• Job Description
• As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and verifying invoices, conducting weekly supplier payments, and resolving any invoice and purchase order mismatches.

You will interact with various departments and vendors, ensuring timely and professional communication. Additionally, you will manage expense report reviews, accounts payable reconciliations, and assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

• Responsibilities
• + Process and verify invoices (3-way match) for payment in accordance with company policies.

+ Process weekly supplier payments, respecting payment terms and maximizing available discounts. + Investigate invoices and purchase order mismatches; coordinate with purchasing, receiving, and vendors to ensure timely resolution. + Interact with various departments for invoice authorization according to the approval matrix. + Engage with vendors regarding payment details, statement reconciliation, and overdue/missing invoices. + Review expense reports for compliance with company policy and calculate recoverable taxes. + Reconcile the accounts payable by sub-ledger and certain accounts as part of the month-end process. + Conduct various accounting analyses and research related to expenses. + Record direct disbursements for payment that may not be associated with a purchase order from the purchasing department. + Assist the accounting department with answering any accounts payable questions and vendor issues as needed. + Electronically archive, file, and retrieve invoices. + Assist with ad hoc projects as required by the superior.

• Essential Skills
• + Proficiency in invoice processing, invoicing, and accounts payable. + BS Degree in Accounting or 5 years or more of experience. + Ability to process high volume Accounts Payable. + Proficiency with large ERP accounting systems (EPICOR is an asset). + Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office Suite tools.

• + Experience in a large company is an asset. + Participation in company or project startups is an asset. + Demonstrates a high degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and precision. + Experience in inventory control and the person system.

• This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
