Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing construction company in San Marcos is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with construction industry experience to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience handling vendor invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and job cost-related accounting functions. Monday-Friday, 8am-1pm. $26

DOE Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts
• Assist with subcontractor and vendor payment processing
• Maintain organized AP records and vendor files
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end close and accounting team as needed
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and approval processes

Qualifications:

• Prior construction accounting or construction AP experience required
• Strong understanding of AP processes and job costing preferred
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
