Job Summary Alys Beach is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for the Accounting team. This is a new position located at Alys Beach to work directly with the Development and Construction Department. Job Cost experience is preferred as well as the ability to work independently, and with a team, in a fast-paced and high volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. First day medical benefits and company profit sharing. $1,000 sign-on bonus for this position. Job Responsibilities type="disc
  • -Review all invoices, purchase orders, and subcontract billings for appropriate documentation prior to electronic routing for review and approval type="disc
  • -Prioritize and process all invoices, purchase orders, and subcontract billings to the appropriate job cost and general ledger codes type="disc
  • -Request and track all documentation to process the setup of new vendors and subcontractors in accordance with corporate accounting requirements type="disc
  • -Verify and maintain current liability, workers compensation, and auto insurance certificates for all vendors and subcontractors type="disc
  • -Respond to all vendor invoice and subcontractor pay application inquiries. Reconcile vendor statements and research and correct discrepancies type="disc
  • -Posting and reconciling job cost with payables posted at headquarters and monthly credit card charges type="disc
  • -Respond to all notice to owners and lien releases type="disc
  • -Working on special projects type="disc
  • -Assist in accounting month-end closings and other projects as needed Job Requirements type="disc
  • -High school diploma required, college coursework in accounting preferred type="disc
  • -3+ years of Accounts Payable experience as a primary focus type="disc
  • -Ability to interact with employees, vendors, and subcontractors in a professional manne type="disc
  • -Job Cost Accounting experience preferred type="disc
  • -Experience with Notice To Owner and Lien Releases desired type="disc
  • -Experience with, or proficiency in, SAGE 300CRE software a plus type="disc
  • -Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Essential Job Function
  • Basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking on a daily basis
  • Thorough understanding of accounts payable, job cost and general ledger accounting systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate accounting processes
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
