Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This position requires true expertise in accounting software, accounts payable, and awareness of receiving/purchasing standards. This position, reporting to the VP of Accounting, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in financial management. Process and verify invoices using computer accounting software such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, or UltiPro, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies related to accounts payable transactions promptly. Maintain detailed records of all payments, invoices, and vendor communications for audit readiness and reporting purposes. Support month-end closing procedures by preparing AP accruals and balancing all AP ledger accounts. Contribute to continuous process improvements in accounts payable workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Proven experience in accounts payable functions within a manufacturing environment. Must have 5 to 10 years of accounts payable experience. Strong understanding of excel, and technical accounting practices. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, or UltiPro is highly preferred. Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and financial reporting.
