Job Description ATSS has openings for First Class Electricians at our clients Pascagoula, MS facility.
Must haves:
Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Be able to read/write/communicate in English Basic Qualifications for
Electricians :
High School diploma or equivalent. Requires a minimum of four (4) years of electrical experience in the commercial, industrial, or marine electrical field. Basic Qualifications for
Test Electricians :
4 years of experience in Electrical Electronic field Test equipment setup and handling Cable Testing knowledge CAT 5 and
Fiber Optic Motor Control and Power Distribution Systems Preferred Design Disciplines :
One (1) year shipboard experience (sonar, radar, power, internal communication, navigation, etc.). The ability to read marine blue prints and work from standard and metric specifications, wiring hook up, fiber optics experience.
Job Description:
A First-Class Electrician also called an Electrical Journeyman, is responsible for the layout, installation and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ships power. Electricians utilize an assortment of hand and power tools, a variety of test equipment along with a working knowledge of blue prints, drawings and schematics. Production areas at times involve working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts. As with most every position in the shipyard, an Electrician may be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. Ingalls stresses the practice of working safely in all situations with safety procedures meeting, and most times, exceeding industry standards.

Base Pay Range:
$40 per hour, depending on level of experience Per Diem $147.04 is available for candidates 75 miles away (verification required via current utility bill) Start Date As soon as possible
NOTE:
Please be advised that any candidates who proceed will be required to travel to Pascagoula, MS to do a skills test and/or interview, Hair Follicle Test, and Respirator Fit Test. You will also be required to pass a background check with no violent felonies.
