Today, we proudly serve over 300 retail partners in the state of Michigan. Mitten Extracts quickly became synonymous with quality, trust, and community, amassing a dedicated following for our four product lines - Carts, Mitten +PLUS Disposables, Infused Pre-Rolls & Fruit Chews with more creations on the horizon. Role Description The Accounts Receivable Specialist works within the Sales and Finance team to manage billing clients, verify transactions, monitor incoming payments, and spot accounting discrepancies, under the direct oversite of the Wholesale Controller and Sales Director. This TEAM maintains overall financial health of the organization through completion of the sales process with an emphasis on collections.

RESPONSIBILITIES

include but not limited to: Receive and applying customer payments Process customer credits Proactively communicate with customers to maintain matching records Support B2B customer relationships through routine activities Manage collection efforts and associated functions Create and distribute receivables analysis and reporting to internal stakeholders Reconcile complex accounts receivable with numerous parent and child customers Assigned general ledger account ownership and reconciliations General journal entries and month end close duties Ensure receivables integrity between software systems in the business environment Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner Provide support for internal and external audits

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's degree in accounting or related field is preferred 2+ years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to analyze large sets of data High degree of familiarity with accounts receivable functions

POSITION

This position is full-time with an annual salary of $50,000-$70,000 based on experience.

STATUS Position is considered a full-time employee, exempt from Fair Labor Standards Act's (FLSA) overtime regulations and, therefore, not entitled to overtime pay.
