Job Description

Position Summary A growing organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support daily accounting operations and ensure timely processing of customer payments. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in accounting or finance while gaining hands-on experience in billing, collections, cash applications, and customer account management. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner Apply incoming payments to customer accounts Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due invoices Maintain accurate customer records and account documentation Assist with account reconciliations and resolve payment discrepancies Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status Support month-end closing activities and reporting processes Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing information Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports and spreadsheets Perform general administrative and accounting support duties as assigned Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred Previous internship, office, customer service, or accounting experience is a plus Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally Preferred Skills Experience with accounting or ERP software is a plus Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of professionalism and confidentiality #
