Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing finance team. This part time position has flexible hours Monday - Friday. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with customers to ensure a timely collection of outstanding balances and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise in record keeping, customer relations, financial concepts, and excellent customer service skills will drive efficiency and support our organization's revenue cycle management. Responsibilities Contact customers with past due balances via email or phone. Manage and process incoming payments, ensuring accurate application to customer accounts using accounting software such as QuickBooks. Perform account reconciliations and analysis to identify discrepancies or overdue balances. Follow up with customers via phone, email, or written correspondence to resolve billing issues and negotiate payment arrangements. Work with our bookkeeper to ensure payments have been received and processed. Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing reports on accounts receivable aging and outstanding balances Requirements Proven experience in accounts receivable functions within a corporate accounting or public accounting environment. Reliable and dependable. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Excellent negotiation skills combined with professional phone etiquette for customer service interactions Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and analysis efficiently Strong math skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle high-volume data entry tasks accurately Join us in this vital role where your expertise helps ensure our financial health while providing exceptional service to our clients.
