Ace Hardware Manager

Job Overview We are seeking an exprerienced and motivated Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive the success of our hardware store. As the Store Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain optimal inventory levels. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver outstanding shopping experiences while achieving sales goals. Responsibilities Lead and supervise store operations, including opening, closing, and shift management to ensure smooth daily functions. Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees, fostering a positive team-oriented culture through effective employee orientation and ongoing training & development. Manage inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize sales and minimize stock discrepancies. Develop marketing initiatives and promotional displays to attract customers and boost retail sales. Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining high standards of phone etiquette and communication skills. Qualifications Proven management experience in retail sales or hardware store environments with supervisory responsibilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively across inventory management, budgeting, and staff scheduling. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems. Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs. Knowledge of inventory control procedures, purchasing processes, and cash handling protocols. Leadership qualities with a focus on team management, supervising experience, and fostering a positive work environment.
