You load material, dial in tooling, and bring prints to life with clean, consistent parts. Throughout the shift, you keep a close eye on quality and machine health—staying ahead of adjustments so production never misses a beat. A Day in the Life Set up and run Acme multi-spindle screw machines to produce precision components exactly to print. Monitor cycle performance and quality; tweak offsets and tooling as needed to hit spec and throughput. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to plan efficient machining strategies. Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to reduce downtime and keep machines reliable. Partner with teammates to meet daily production goals and ship on time. Keep your area organized and safe, following company safety practices at all times. Record production data accurately and escalate discrepancies to your supervisor promptly. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent; machining coursework or certification is a plus. Hands-on experience operating screw machines (Acme experience strongly preferred) or a closely related machining role. Solid knowledge of machining fundamentals, tooling, and measurement. Confidence reading and applying blueprints and technical documents. Exceptional attention to detail and a practical problem-solving mindset. Comfort working independently and collaborating within a production team. Clear communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
