What You'll Do As Acme Operator at our Avon Lake facility, you'll play a key role in our manufacturing process by operating multi-spindle lathe-type screw machines to produce precision components. This role requires mechanical precision, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Operate Acme Gridley multi-spindle automatic screw machines to manufacture parts to specification. Inspect coolant, oil level and air pressure before operating the machine. Effectively use shop packages to include, but not limited to, manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts and quality alerts. To ensure that only gages and tools that are used are within calibration dates. To operate multiple machines simultaneously as required by the routing. Produces product to establish quality standards and notify your direct supervisor if non-conforming product is found. Perform quality checks per Inspection Record & documents. Request raw materials in a timely manner as needed for production and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures. Follow safe working practices and notify any supervisory personnel or safety team member if an unsafe condition is observed. Replaces worn tools and operates bench grinder to sharpen tools. Demonstrates respectful behavior with all employees. What You'll Bring Experience operating multi-spindle screw machines or similar production equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools and measuring instruments. Commitment to product quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate records. A proactive approach and flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant machining experience.
