What You'll Do as a Activity Assistant Activity Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time) Prepare activities, such as baking, bingo, therapeutic exercises, range of motion exercises, and table games. Assist residents of the facility with everyday activities, such as playing board games, checkers, and participating in community bingo. Supervise activities geared toward residents with severe dementia and Alzheimer's, such as sing-alongs, current events, and live entertainment. Plan activities, take residents on trips, feed residents, transport residents, supervise Alzheimer's activities.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Working closely with nursing and care staff to ensure that activities align with residents' health needs, and documenting participation or concerns for further follow-up.

Resource Management:

Ensuring that necessary supplies and equipment are available while adhering to safety protocols and budget limitations. Encouraging participation, assisting with mobility when necessary, and monitoring resident responses to modify activities for optimal enjoyment and safety. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the overall quality of life for residents by promoting mental, physical, and social well-being. An activity aide must have excellent communication and organizational and escalating concerns for immediate resolution. Resident cares as needed.
