Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including arts and crafts, music sessions, games, and outings Collaborate with staff to develop activity schedules that align with residents' care plans and preferences Provide companionship and support during activities to encourage participation and socialization Maintain accurate records of activities conducted, resident participation, and feedback for continuous improvement Foster a positive environment by promoting social engagement and addressing individual needs related to aging issues or disabilitiesSkills Proven experience in event planning or recreational therapy within assisted living or nursing home settings Knowledge of senior care practices, including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care strategies Strong communication skills to effectively engage residents with diverse needs and backgrounds Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care environments is highly desirable Compassionate caregiving approach combined with excellent organizational skills for activity coordination Familiarity with aging issues counseling, social work principles, and home & community care experience is a plusJoin us in creating vibrant days filled with joy and connection!
