Activities Assistant

Job description The Activities Assistant supports the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive program of recreational, social and therapeutic activities designed to promote residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. This position ensures activities are person-centered, meet individual resident needs, and comply with Pennsylvania Personal Care Home Regulations. Essential duties and Responsibilities Assist in developing and delivering daily, weekly and monthly activity programs that promote engagement, independence and quality of life. Lead group and individual activities, including crafts, games, music, exercise groups, sensory stimulation, social events, religious/spiritual programs, and community outings. Adapt activities to residents' cognitive and physical abilities. Support resident participation by offering encouragement, transportation / escort assistance, and hands on guidance as needed. Resident engagement and support Build positive, supportive relationships with residents and families. Provide one-on-one visits to residents who are unable or unwilling to partcipate in group activities. Physical requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to assist residents with mobility support as needed. Ability to push wheelchairs and activity carts.

Pay:

$13.00 - $14.00 per hour
