ILLINOIS MEDICALLY COMPLEX/DD FACILITIES
Job Summary:
Responsible for developing and implementing engaging activity programs that align with residents' needs, interests, and abilities. Collaborates with management and interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident well-being while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess residents and create individualized and group activity programs.

Communicate with residents, families, and staff to ensure personalized engagement.

Manage departmental operations, including budgeting, staffing, and care planning.

Maintain accurate documentation of activities and resident participation.

Conduct quality assurance checks and support regulatory compliance efforts.

Oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition.

Assist in policy development and participate in survey processes.

Support the Resident Council and advocate for resident needs.

Stay current with industry best practices through training and education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical and financial documents.

High energy, enthusiasm, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs., stand, bend, walk, and perform physical tasks in a healthcare setting. Education and/or
Experience:
Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Meets state and federal requirements.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Drivers license per position requirements. EOE
