Responsibilities of Activity Assistant:

Lead volunteer-based activities and programs that enrich the lives of Assisted Living and Memory Care residents Collaborate with other Department Coordinators and the Executive Director to develop and maintain relationships with local schools, businesses and social organizations to establish an active network of volunteers and community resources Maintain a calendar of activities and events that provide a variety of resident and family centered experiences Budget preparation and monitoring of expenses and financial statements to meet revenue and budget targets Leadership responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, coaching and retaining a high performing employee team

Qualifications of Activity Assistant:

Must be patient, passionate, eager to enhance the quality of the life of our residents. Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home with dementia experience preferred. An ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served. Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak the English language with proficiency. Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
