• Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant for the afternoon to support our educators in creating a positive learning environment for students.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education settings, and possess the skills necessary to assist with classroom management and individual student needs. This role involves working closely with students, including those with disabilities, to foster their development and learning. Duties Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Provide support to students in both individual and group settings, ensuring their engagement and understanding of the material. Help manage classroom behavior, promoting a respectful and productive learning atmosphere. Support students with special needs, utilizing behavior management techniques as necessary. Facilitate activities that encourage social interaction and emotional development among students. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff regarding student progress and needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to early childhood education. Qualifications Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is preferred. Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Previous experience in preschool, daycare, or toddler care settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. First aid certification is beneficial but not required at the time of application. Demonstrated ability in classroom management and behavior management strategies. A background in teaching or caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting will be considered an asset.
