About Us Overview The Activities Director at a Brightview Senior Living community is a fabulously fun individual who has an immediate and sustained goal of shaping and fostering a spirit of vibrant living in the community! In fact, this position is so focused on motivating, encouraging and ensuring that all of our residents live their fullest life possible, that it officially carries the title of Vibrant Living Director . We are currently looking for a Vibrant Living Director to oversee our activities and programming at Brightview Woodbury Lake in New Jersey as their fabulous VLD is transferring to a larger community! Responsibilities Get ready to bring all of your creativity and planning skills to life because in this role, you'll get to d esign a variety of activities and programs to engage residents that d eliver high quality and vibrant social, physical, educational and spiritual activities and programs for all residents. You'll even to get p ersonally lead many of these joy filled moments! Don't forget to p artner with vendors to provide new and enriching experiences as well! Additionally, you'll get to engage, manage and coach a team of activity assistants (Vibrant Living Assistants) to utilize their skills for innovation and assistance with programs and activities. You'll also get to m onitor trends and new developments in senior living and related fields and to support the development and execution of robust, varied, and meaningful programs and s hare strategies and best practices with fellow Vibrant Living Directors. Occasionally you might even s erve as a project manager for company-wide initiatives and wellness initiatives. This is a critical role within the Brightview community leadership team, and allows for the opportunity to create a dramatic and positive impact on our residents' ability to live an active, vibrant life! Salary Range USD $60,000.00 - USD $68,000.00 /Yr. Compensation Disclosure The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a field that lends itself to the support of vibrant living in a senior environment; marketing, education or geriatrics preferred. Minimum of seven years of experience in a high energy, public role, three of which are in a leadership/supervisory capacity; preferred experience includes event or activities planning, sales, and/or training. Demonstrated ability to think creatively and influence others. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to connect and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing. Ability to apply logic, reasoning and creative thinking to solve nebulous or complex problems and challenges. Experience working with in a multi-site environment. Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet based applications such as web conferencing. Ability to manage projects and to organize and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of senior living regulations and safety considerations for working with seniors.
